Soho House:

The former home of the Birmingham industrialist and entrepreneur, Matthew Boulton. BRP were commissioned to oversee the full restoration to the original garden of the 1765 Georgian mansion which Boulton commissioned. The building is now part of a museum to the life and his business partnership with James Watt – together, with the revolutionary condensing steam engine design, they triggered the world-wide industrial revolution.

Hockley Terrace:

This project involved the full restoration and conversion of a derelict building in the Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. The 18th century building followed the traditional Jewellery Quarter historic pattern of a Georgian town house converted into jewellery workshops and the rear wing being extended the full length of the garden to create more workshops lit by a continuous row of steel lattice windows. The workshops are now in use again and the building is very popular for small jewellery businesses.

Ikon Gallery:

The Ikon Gallery occupies the former Oozells Street School which is now a Listed Building designed by the former Victorian Birmingham architects Martin & Chamberlain. In the 1970s, the elaborate ventilation tower was taken down and no record kept. BRP carefully researched the Martin & Chamberlain school designs and produced the drawings for the tower to be rebuilt. The outcome is a great success with local media and architectural commentators stating that the refurbished building with its new tower is the focal point to the Brindley Place Development.
