Bookkeeper & PA
Salary circa £22K to £28K dependant on experience
- Will be responsible for bookkeeping for 5 companies.
- Organise and assist with work or private matters across all MD’s commercial and personal interests.
- Greeting clients
- Bookkeeping using QuickBooks, inputting invoices and bank downloads.
- Preparing and submitting CIS monthly returns
- Preparing sub-contractor CIS certificates
- Preparing and submitting VAT quarterly returns
- Monthly Payroll
- Checking materials received as stated on delivery tickets against invoices due, liaising with suppliers as necessary.
- Matters relating to company pensions scheme and directors personal pension matters.
- Preparing bookkeeping information for onward transmission to company accountants.
- Billing and credit control for architect’s practice.
- Co-ordinating and retaining all company policies.
- Liaise with company accountants, Companies House and HMRC as necessary.
- Answering telephone calls
- Minutes taking, preparing and distribution.
- Organising MD’s diary using outlook.
- Typing and general admin duties including filing.
- Prepare & Submit Planning Applications, Building Regulation Applications & Severn Trent Applications. Training provided for this administrative duty.
- Chase for Application responses.
- Pension payment management.
- Updating project databases on Excel.
Key Skills required.
- Proficient in using QuickBooks with at least 2 years’ experience in an accounting environment.
- Microsoft packages including Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
- Clear communication skills essential.
- Time management.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Managing purchase and sales ledger control.
- Dealing with HMRC and Companies House enquiries.
- Conducting bank reconciliations and implementing credit control activities
- AAT level 3, will consider level 2 with appropriate experience.
